On solid ground

Seperti title di atas, I am finally back on solid ground after a week offshore, many new experiences and only one word to sum them up: AMAZING! It might not be the same for all but I'm very sure when I say this, the people make the place! Ya betul, humban la saye kat ceruk dunia mane pun, as long as ade membe2 best, kolej ala2 asrama skola agame depan hotel kat negri seblah kl tu pon bole jadi best!!! hahaha *pengalaman sebenar* Mari kita tinjau pengalaman2 baru sy!

1. Pakai Coverall
Ok sumpah macam nangka, kaler pon kuning, sile refer tahap kekuningan dlm gamba di bawah. I'm sure I looked like one of the teletubbies versi keje opis.
2. Naik chopper
This one made me quite nervous. Mainly because I hate flying sbb I get siriusly cuak time take off and landing kape trobang (kapal terbang). Suprisingly, best giler kot naik chopper!!! Lain giler dari naik kapal terbang, the take off felt more like u r gently floating and when the chopper flies at cloud level, berlatar belakangkan bunyi enjin chopper yg sayup2(sbb pakai muff) plus ur surrounded by cahaya samar2 bayang2 rotor chopper buat sy terase seperti di awan awangan perghhh sirius highhh x tipu!

3. Platform Minyak
Bayangkan anda di workshop moto/kete/bas/kapal selam, blow that up a million times larger and more complex, u get a platform minyak. It's hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I was very much in awe when I saw all the equipments, a vessel could be as small as ur standard tong gas or as humongous as apartmen berkembar lapan tingkat!! besar punyeee!

Walking on the grating was scary, jarak dari deck ke laut jauh lagi tinggi dari terjun platform 15m mase training esp. mase tgh turun tangga yg licin n mmg kene pandang bawah, bile pandang plak jadi pening sbb tangga n lantai seme grating jenis same susah nak estimate the stair shape. Obviously budak yg jalan lembab gile mcm teletubby n x kontrol ayu langsung itu adalah sy muahaha. Jalan mase mlm is much better tho, sbb kat bawah itam je x nampak laut hehe owh tp jaga2 angin kuat rase nak melayang.

One thing I absolutely love is that upon stepping out of the office, I was greeted by fresh air and the bluest sea as far as the eyes could see. Dlm cuak2, this never failed to cheer me up and make me smile =)

4. Food and lodging
Living quarters as far as I'm concerned is pretty ok. Nothing much to talk about n nothing much to complain about. I didn't miss Nur Kasih and could curi2 tgk E channel di kala bosan, juge dpt gune tepon utk tepon org2 tersayang. Not complaining one bit :p Ok complain sikit je, xde tenet! n xle gune cik beri2 hihi

Oh my goshhhh the foooooddddd! don't get me started on the food!!! *sambil terbayang2 asam pedas smalam yg sgt sedap tahap nak mengalir air mata* As universally known, sy lemah sket bab buffet ni, n ari2 sy dapat makan buffet masakan seperti di kedai makan yg sgt best! sgt terbaek! Antara menu2 istimewa spanjang minggu lepas include gulai rempah daging rusa, ayam dara kampung goreng rempah n ikan goreng fresh yg dipancing oleh abang chef ari2..love it!

5. The people
Sekali lagi sy emphasize, the people make the place. Thank you sgt2 to all the hardworking people there yg menjaga sy dengan baik n x lokek utk kongsi ilmu n pengalaman kpd cik FE yg masih hingusan ini. I believe it's important to connect with a person not only at a professional level but also at a personal level, so thank you all kerana menerima kehadiran sy dalam family platform n I hope to learn a lot more from all of u :)

Souveniers yg sy dpt: a G-Shock watch (it's the in thing offshore, evryone has one of these!) and a mug..sukeeeeeee :)
